#RRW Romantic Retro Week!  This is Mesmerizing Monday!

I self proclaimed this week romantic retro week #rrw and will be wearing looks inspired by the 1940s and 1950s. Join the fun and post comments and your fav period inspired looks #RRW. I’m a sucker for the 1920s, 40s and 50s, but since I’m not about to show up to work in a 20s flapper’s dress, I’m focusing on the 40s and 50s. This time period  was filled with incredible styles and romantic silhouettes without omitting sex appeal. Women were hot and sexy even without exposing much skin….it’s all about silhouette and details on the right spots. I love dressing up and looking like a million bucks and this period of time had the elegance, richness,  attitude and sometimes borderline arrogance in the clothing style.I  love that women highlighted their best features and held themselves with such class. Another feature of the 40s and 50s look I’m dying for is the sexiness and flurtiness served with class!

For the first look, I present  Mesmerizing Monday! This dress is a 40s and 50s inspired style that I adore. The neckline is highlighted with the poka dots 😍 love love polka dots! and the sleeves and buttons details, and the half belt make the dress feminine, a little ornate, but grown up. I completed the look with this creme textured flats with straps that bring the right amount of attention to the feet without taking away from the dress. If you’re interested in this look, i got mine on Amazon.com.

In this dress, I feel feminine, grown, beautiful and comfortable.  It fits in all the right place and highlights my best features.

Yahhhh to #RRW 😉✌

Sweet Sweater Outfit of the day!

45 degrees this morning so it’s sweater weather! I love this black mid-tight length sweater with the ribbon threading detail on the side. It’s long, black, boddy hugging in all the right places, and gives a slender figure. The black shirt underneath has some gold detail that breaks out all the black and gives the outfit a dressed up attitude.

I got the shirt on sale at Nordstrom Rack and the sweater is from Ross. Both together for a steal of about $20…yep! I paired them with pant legging and boots! All made for a stylist sweater day with many compliments! 😉✌

Match my bounce jumping squats!

If baby is enjoying his bouncer but doesn’t want you to leave the room, how do you make it fun play for him and good workout for you? How about jumping squats matching his bounce? JJ loved it! This boy can go for 30 minutes or more. I definately haven’t needed a gym membership since having the baby and I have been able to have happy healthy meaningful workouts! I have been working on getting a flatter stomach which is one of the hardest part after a baby. So baby is helping me a lot reach my goals. 😉✌

The concept of time facisnates me especially it’s oldest tracking device, the hour glass! So why not wear it as a style accessory on my phone? Yeah! look what I found online on Amazon.COM. this makes me cell phone cover happy 😃and it’s a fashion statement of my style. It also became a great conversation starter at work with new and old coworkers! Win win for me😉✌

Mommy & Baby Workout!

As a first time mom, I quickly realized there won’t be enough time in the day, or even the week to fit my responsibilities, play with my little angel and still have the energy to workout like I did before the baby. After delivery I needed physical therapy for back issues and as I tried the excercises on my mat, i figured I could turn this moment into workout for me, and fun for baby, or least try to put him to sleep with workout motions. I’m pretty sure a lot of mom’s thought the same and even did it. For me, the experience was so great that I kept it going even with my little angel bring 10 months now, and I do not plan on stopping. This is the personal workout moves I’ve updated and renamed for me and my cutie pie. First stop is “Bicep Curl, Bisous!”

Outfit of the week!

Yes I’m at the doctor’s and while waiting, I decided to take a pic of my fav outfit of the week. I got the vest that I love so much from “Nordstrom Rack” on sale for $18. I paired it with this blue shirt, white capris pants and the shoes were another pop of color. It might look weird at first to put these items together, but that’s how i felt. The whole outfit is funky and comfortable. I like the fact that this is my ecstatic  and I probably won’t find someone else dressed the same way in my circle. Keep doing style according of you!

This is Me!

Are you tired of living your life just to pay bills and not enjoying your journey on this earth? Me too! At least that’s how I felt years ago when I felt that I was just surviving, not living! I was acting like there will be a point in my life where the life I want will start! I saw it as a time in space where things will come together and I will start living happily. Psssh! Totally unrealistic. Cheesy to say but life is a journey and I had to realize that time in space will never be, and I had to jut make my current life as enjoyable as possible. Soon after that, I changed my attitude and my routine, and it changed my life! Today I’m married and have an 8-and-a-half-month old baby boy. But enough about life for now, let’s talk about style!!!

I have always loved fashion and had my own sense of style. On the same token, I’m not one to break the bank to look stylish. I always do style on the dime! A lot friends and acquaintances, and people in general compliment me and ask me about my hair, and where I get my clothes. Most people don’t know what to make of it, when my answer to the question where do you get your clothes is “everywhere.” People are even more surprised when I tell them that some of these expensive looking outfits can cost under $20. Yes! It all depends where you shop and how you put it together to express your sense of style. Oh, and guess what? I can make clothes too. I’m self-taught on how to sew, and I have been designing clothes since I was a little girl!

I strongly believe in putting clothes together the way that makes you happy and feel your best self. I don’t really follow trends per say nor do I force myself into a fashion category. There are days I want to be a Rockstar, and there are days I want to be classic, and other days I want to be street, androgynous, or super girly: why should I have to box myself? I go for what I love and what makes me happy regardless of the brand, and the trend! If the trend happened to be something I love, I will not force myself to be unconventional either! See where I’m going with this? It’s all about being myself and loving how I look, and how I feel in my style! That been said, I will be posting outfits and styles I like, where I get them from, high price versus low prices, and how I feel wearing these clothes.
