Theme week alert!

Yes, I’m back again with a theme week! So far I did a Romantic Retro Week #RRW, and BlackNWhite week, that were both fun and successful. This one, it’s all about bold colors, and patterns. Yes, you can have several colors and mixed patterns in the same outfit without looking crazy…I’ll show you!

It’s supposed to be fall but since the weather is still summer..ish, I’m going bold and fun before I break out the boots and layers if the weather ever allows it in Houston. Anyways, this is what my week’s outfits looks like! Like, share, comment, and feel free to join the fun for #burstofcolor&patterns 😜✌🏾

Pretty in blue!

I’m obsessed with my latest handbag. It’s a Neimen Marcus bag that I got for……brace yourself…., $5.99! Yes $5.99. You are probably wondering where? Well…the GoodWill store! If you love shopping for quality original items at a low price and you are not checking the GoodWilll stores, you….are…..missing…..out! If you are interested in one of the stores that always has hot items, check out the one on Westheimer and Shepherd drive. You’ll be amazed! as usual, feel free to like, comment and share, and enjoy being stylish on a dime!😜✌🏾

Classic black n white!

A traditional classic black dress, with just a hint of white. This beauty is instantly classy,  expensive looking, and sophisticated. Great buy from Ross store for $29.99, available in more sizes! Just for fun, I wore it with gladiator sandals: still professional with a zest of personality 😜✌🏾

Outfit of the day!

Flow and structure all in one: that’s the description of my top today. I love the coral color, one of my fav, and the high low cut of the top. It works on most body types and the flair is perfect for concealing midsection problem areasπŸ˜‰ I paired the top with simple black pants. Both these items were great finds from a surplus store, and entire outfit is under $20 😜✌🏾

Dare to mix it if you feel like it!

I bet most people don’t look at blue and orange and go yes let me put those two colors together in the same outfit!…well I do. The thing about it is that when you’re  trying to put two strong colors together, you need a bridge. My bridge is the shirt. The flower design has blues, reds, and yellows. The best part is that I’m wearing the shirt backwards πŸ˜‰ and it took the look to a different level and style! Don’t be afraid to change it up!

And did you see the shoes? I love them! So fricking comfortable and boho chic! Only $11 on wish.com. The blue flower design on the shoes also go with the  shirt. Looking at the whole look from shoes to jacket, the blue pants allows the bright orange of the shoes to shine! The shirt ties well with the pants because of the blue flowers, and the other bright colors on the shirt go well with the orange jacket. Overrall, the shirt is the key piece that bridges the gap between two harsh colors to juxtapose. That’s how you put blue and orange together without looking crazy!

You can have tones of fun doing the same with the colors you feel like using. Don’t be afraid to stand out and be happy inside out.
The ladies at the nail shop liked my look so much  that one wanted us to take these pics! So cool! One of the best compliments i got today from a co-worker was that my clothes are always unique, different,  and so beautiful!  People keep asking me where I get my clothes and if I can refer them to good shopping joints. If I had my way, I will do this as a full time career, but until then, keep checking out my personal tips… Who knows I might just blow out into the next big Thing!πŸ˜‰βœŒ

Happy style has no age!

Hum…it’s been a minute since I shared a look here but this is a fun one. It’s totally inspired by the girl in the hood that turned heads  in the mid 90s early 2000s rap videos! She’s ghetto fabulous!  So, I was having fun in south padre island with my hubby and baby for my 2nd year wedding anniversary and when i put this look together, it felt like I was back in time…fun Times! Whether you’re over 30 or not, mommy or not, you can still wear what makes you happy!  At the right time and place of course, but you don’t have to deny yourself because you are afraid of straying out of society’s expectations! πŸ˜‰βœŒπŸ’ͺ

#RRW Romantic Retro Week: This Is Funcy (fun+fancy) Friday!Β

It’s Friday,  it’s friday, it’s Fri Fri Fri Fri Friday! 🎡🎢 Friday is usually the casual jeans day at work but not today! Not for me, it’s #RRW,  so I need fancy fun outfits to honor my theme! The first look is what I wore to work. It’s a simple stripped t-shirt with a high waisted pant that has a lacing details on each side of the hips right by the pockets.

This look is reminiscent of the 50s. Women was all about high waisted pants then: whether it’s wide bottoms or cigarette style, high waisted was in and is back in trend Yes!

My second look is this amazing dress I feel sexy, comfortable, and confident in! Love the sleeve details with the buttons and the half front belt. Love this dress!

I have enjoyed every moment  of my #RRW So far and the icing on the cake is that I inspired some people to find a way to wear what they really love. For these two Funcy looks, the pants and the dress were both purchased from vendors on Amazon.COM

Feel free to ask questions,  comment, and join the fun #RRW  πŸ˜‰βœŒ

#RRW Romantic Retro Week: This is Wishful Wednesday!Β

Wishful Wednesday is a look inspired by the 50s where mid-length full pleaded skirts were in fashion. The skirts were paired with nice blouses and a jacket or sweater as the style below from the 2nd Lady from the left.

I love the innocence conveyed in this look but also the playfulness and flurtiness. I called my look wishful Wednesday because of the vibe I get from these clothes.  I feel joyful, Innocent with a twist! Almost like just seeing the beauty in things, playfully enjoying life, but wishing for more! Below is pic from a vintage shop with amazing 50s inspired  outfits!

So where did I get my look? Brace yourself…none only but the Good Will store. However I got it during a special event where Good Will was selling designer apparel for charity at their Washington store. If you’re interested, be in the lookout. It’s an annual event and they do have big name designers and clothes, shoes, purses etc.

Feel free to join the fun! #RRW πŸ˜‰βœŒ

#RRW Romantic Retro Week! Β This is Mesmerizing Monday!

I self proclaimed this week romantic retro week #rrw and will be wearing looks inspired by the 1940s and 1950s. Join the fun and post comments and your fav period inspired looks #RRW. I’m a sucker for the 1920s, 40s and 50s, but since I’m not about to show up to work in a 20s flapper’s dress, I’m focusing on the 40s and 50s. This time period  was filled with incredible styles and romantic silhouettes without omitting sex appeal. Women were hot and sexy even without exposing much skin….it’s all about silhouette and details on the right spots. I love dressing up and looking like a million bucks and this period of time had the elegance, richness,  attitude and sometimes borderline arrogance in the clothing style.I  love that women highlighted their best features and held themselves with such class. Another feature of the 40s and 50s look I’m dying for is the sexiness and flurtiness served with class!

For the first look, I present  Mesmerizing Monday! This dress is a 40s and 50s inspired style that I adore. The neckline is highlighted with the poka dots 😍 love love polka dots! and the sleeves and buttons details, and the half belt make the dress feminine, a little ornate, but grown up. I completed the look with this creme textured flats with straps that bring the right amount of attention to the feet without taking away from the dress. If you’re interested in this look, i got mine on Amazon.com.

In this dress, I feel feminine, grown, beautiful and comfortable.  It fits in all the right place and highlights my best features.

Yahhhh to #RRW πŸ˜‰βœŒ

Sweet Sweater Outfit of the day!

45 degrees this morning so it’s sweater weather! I love this black mid-tight length sweater with the ribbon threading detail on the side. It’s long, black, boddy hugging in all the right places, and gives a slender figure. The black shirt underneath has some gold detail that breaks out all the black and gives the outfit a dressed up attitude.

I got the shirt on sale at Nordstrom Rack and the sweater is from Ross. Both together for a steal of about $20…yep! I paired them with pant legging and boots! All made for a stylist sweater day with many compliments! πŸ˜‰βœŒ
